LG develops a smart shopping cart for the supermarket:

no need to push, automatically follow the shopper

On November 5th, LG Electronics announced that it will develop a smart shopping cart for the Korean supermarket chain E-mart.

It is designed to create a new shopping experience for consumers. Consumers don't have to push this shopping trolley to go to the supermarket. Instead, the shopping cart will automatically follow the consumer.

LG Electronics will begin testing this smart shopping cart in the first half of next year. E-Mart has been testing its own smart shopping cart called eli since April this year. At the Global Electronics Show (CES) held last year.

LG Electronics announced the Hub Robot robot. In July of this year, the company has deployed this robot to Incheon International Airport in South Korea.
